Stir Fried Squid With Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg 3Fish Pineapple Squid
  • 1 Medium Onion, large sliced
  • 1 Large Red Pepper, large sliced
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Black Bean Paste
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
  • 4 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced thinly

Cooking Method

  1. Defrost 3Fish pineapple squid by placing it in the refrigerator overnight. Wash and pat dry.
  2. For quicker defrosting, place contents in a bowl of cold water for 15 mintues. Pat dry before using.
  3. Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok(or large pot) on high heat. Add onions and stir fry for 2 minutes. 
  4. Add red peppers and stir fry for 2 mintues. 
  5. Remove cooked vegetables from pan. 
  6. Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil to pan on high heat. 
  7. Add pineapple squid and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add garlic, ginger and stir fry for 1 minute. 
  8. Be careful not to let the garlic burn.
  9. Add black bean paste, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce and bring to a simmer. Add the cooked vegetables and stir fry. 
  10. Season with sesame oil to taste. 
  11. Serve on rice, noodles or as a side dish. 
  12. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
